A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words: Animations for Parenting

Have you ever wondered how to foster strong bonds with your children, even in the face of challenges?

italk Studios, Griffith University and Central Australian Aboriginal Congress have teamed up once again to create two new Parents under Pressure (PuP) animations that offer practical guidance and support for parents and carers.

Little Boss shows how we can bring our own emotions under control when caring for young children, using breathing and patience. Sharing this helps children calm themselves.

Phone Boy shows the difference having time without a mobile phone makes to a boy’s life. His parents learn a thing or two as well!

The Parents under Pressure animations have been co-designed by the Intensive Family Support Team, Central Australian Aboriginal Congress, the Parents under Pressure program developers based at Griffith University, Healing Circle Psychology, Darwin and italk Studios, Alice Springs.

Little Boss & Phone Boy have been produced in English, Eastern Arrernte and Pitjantjatjara.
